International Journal for Research in Health Sciences and Nursing (IJRHNS)

The International Journal for Research in Health Sciences and Nursing (IJRHNS), published by ARC Publication Services L.L.C., welcomes scholarly manuscripts that contribute to health sciences, nursing, and relevant allied health fields. Authors should carefully review the following guidelines before submitting a manuscript to ensure that their work meets the journal's requirements for quality, clarity, and research integrity.

01 Ethical and Responsible Research

Before submission, authors must ensure that their research meets appropriate ethical and professional standards.

  • Research must be conducted ethically and with professional responsibility.
  • Applicable legal and institutional requirements must be followed, and all sources must be properly acknowledged.
  • Required ethical approvals, informed consent, and permissions must be obtained when research involves human participants, identifiable information, clinical records, or other protected materials, as applicable.
  • Any significant error discovered after submission or publication that could affect the interpretation or reliability of the findings must be reported promptly to the editorial office.

02 Basis of Evaluation

Submitted manuscripts are evaluated according to their scholarly quality, relevance, and suitability for the journal. The editorial assessment and peer-review process may consider:

Originality and contribution
Contribution of new knowledge or meaningful insights to health sciences, nursing, or relevant allied health fields.
Methodological quality
Appropriateness and soundness of research design, experimental procedures, data collection, and analytical methods.
Objectives and research questions
Clear definition of the study objectives, research questions, and rationale.
Results and conclusions
Reliability and clarity of the findings, with conclusions supported by the results.
Scope and presentation
Consistency with the journal's aims and scope, submission requirements, and standards of academic presentation.

Revisions may be requested to address issues relating to manuscript structure, clarity, presentation, or methodological reporting, even where the subject of the study is considered suitable for the journal.

03 Manuscript Preparation

IJRHNS aims to make manuscript preparation straightforward. Authors are encouraged to use clear and consistent formatting and to organize their submissions so that the research can be assessed efficiently.

Formatting Requirements

  • Paper size: A4 with normal margins.
  • Font: Times New Roman.
  • Font size: 12 pt.
  • Line spacing: 1.5.
  • Tables and figures should be clearly presented, appropriately positioned, numbered, and cited in the manuscript.
  • References should follow APA style consistently.

Recommended Manuscript Structure

A typical research manuscript should include the following sections, where applicable to the article type:

1. Title — Accurately reflects the content of the manuscript.
2. Abstract — Summarizes the purpose, methods or approach, principal findings, and conclusions.
3. Introduction — Presents the background, rationale, and objectives of the study.
4. Materials and Methods — Describes the research design, procedures, participants or data sources, and analytical methods in sufficient detail.
5. Results — Reports the findings clearly and objectively.
6. Discussion and/or Conclusion — Interprets the findings in relation to existing research and explains their implications.
7. Tables and Figures — Includes relevant, clearly labelled material cited in the manuscript.
8. References — Should be APA Style and provide complete and consistently formatted citations.
9. Statistical Analysis — Explains the statistical methods used and ensures they are appropriate for the research question and data.

Language Requirements

Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English. Authors should check language, grammar, readability, and consistency before submission. Where language issues prevent adequate assessment of the manuscript, the editorial office may request revisions or recommend professional language editing.

04 Authorship Policy

Authorship must reflect genuine scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript. All listed authors should approve the submitted version and accept responsibility for their contributions.

Any request to add or remove an author, before or after publication, must include a written explanation and the consent of all authors concerned, including the author being added or removed. If agreement cannot be reached, the journal may suspend editorial handling of the manuscript or defer changes to the published record until the matter has been appropriately resolved.

05 Editorial Decisions

Following editorial assessment and consideration of reviewer reports, the editor may issue one of the following decisions:

• Acceptance
• Acceptance subject to minor revision
• Invitation for major revision
• Rejection

The final decision on publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Confidentiality and Disclosure

Submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential throughout the editorial process. Authors must disclose financial or personal relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing their research, interpretation of findings, or reporting of results.
